The Big Sur South Coast Fire Foundation is made possible through the support of the Community Association of Big Sur (CABS). Founded in 1962 by visionary Big Sur property owners, CABS successfully thwarted the conversion of Big Sur into a National Park. Today, CABS is driven by a governing board and members along the 70-mile coastline. Functioning as advocates, disaster recovery service providers, and collaborators with a diverse range of stakeholders, CABS ensures the well-being and resilience of Big Sur, embodying a legacy of community-driven commitment and foresight.
